Who is RemixLiving?

Remix Living is a boutique interior design firm whose design plan is simple: create a curated, customized set for every client we service, genius in function and creative in form. Principal Designer Dominique Calhoun founded the firm in 2016 with the belief that everyone should experience their version of a well-designed space that accommodates their lifestyle and budget. Focused in both residential and commercial design, Dominique uses her sense of style to develop concepts that speak specifically to the client being serviced.

With a BA in Fashion Merchandising and a well-trained eye for placement, Dominique creatively directs every design project, and as a result has been able to create a diverse portfolio of experiences. Known for her use of statement patterns and prints as well as jaw dropping before-and-after transformations that spark up conversation, Dominique lives interior design.

While Dominique's personal design style can be summed up as over-the-top maximalism that combines eclectic elements, she lives for digging deep into her clients’ design style, which often allows her to think outside the box. She prides herself on attention to detail, obsession with quality, and a love for local talent to help bring the curated vision to life.

What Dominique enjoys most about being a creative in design is the ability to be her authentic self with her maximal personality and statement fashion style. She truly embodies her company's mission – that everyone should have access to amazing interior design and what feels comfortable to them – while advocating for design that is approachable rather than stuffy or intimidating. Junior Designer

Meet our new Junior Designer, Ash Meadows. Ash contributes to all aspects of design development and provides interior design expertise during Showroom appointments. Ash received a BA in Architectural Design from Portland State University, is a Building Green Scholar and a part of the Tau Sigma National Honor Society. What stood out to our hiring team most when selecting the ideal candidate was Ash's volunteer portfolio, willingness to learn, and high motivation to uphold the company goal: "Everyone can have access to amazing interior design without the huge budget."

Office Coordinator

Meet Daniel Sohn, our new office coordinator at Remix Living who will aid in the management of the overall client experience, from the design studio to front and back-end administrative support. What stood out to our hiring team the most when selecting the ideal candidate was his dual experience in both administration and service, along with his creative background in the arts and music space.
