While Dominique's personal design style can be summed up as an over-the-top maximalist, she lives by digging deep into her client’s style. Taking pride in attention to detail, obsession with quality, and a love for talent to help bring the vision to life.
What Dominique enjoys most about being creative in design is the ability to be her authentic self through her maximal personality and statement fashion style. She truly personifies her company's vision to redefine the narrative of interior design by creating beautiful, functional spaces that are accessible on different levels..
Design is about evolution. Culture evolves too—but preserving the essence, the meaning, and the legacy behind it? That’s non-negotiable. For me, a fashion-forward space isn’t just about style—it’s about making a statement, holding space for heritage, and allowing clients to see themselves reflected in every detail. We envision a world where exceptional design is not a luxury but a standard in the way we live.

Our give back
At Remix Living, we believe great design should be accessible—and so should the path to becoming a designer. Founded by Dominique Calhoun, our co‑op and mentorship program is rooted in giving back what she didn’t receive when starting out: hands-on experience, real-world guidance, and industry access.
Through partnerships with local colleges and independent creatives, our program offers aspiring designers the chance to work on active projects, develop portfolios, learn showroom operations, and gain exposure to client relations and sourcing. Each participant is mentored by a seasoned designer and supported through weekly check-ins, workshops, and project presentations.
Our goal is to close the opportunity gap for emerging designers—especially those from underrepresented communities—by creating a space where talent, passion, and creativity thrive.
